89 The current 'Berlin Art miracle' started in 1995 with the wrapping of the Reichstags by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. During a magically beautiful summer they not only celebrated the end of the political division and the decision to make Berlin the capital once again, but Berlin also presented herself as a city of undiscovered potentials for the first time to an art public worldwide. The founding of Art Forum (1996-2010) and the Berlin Biennale (1998) are immediate symptoms of ongoing diversity and internationalization of the Berlin art market. An end of the 'hype' would be welcomed in order to stop and smell the after years of the hustle and bustle. Während eines magisch-schönen Sommers wurde nicht nur die Überwindung der politischen Teilung und die Umsetzung des Hauptstadtbeschlusses gefeiert, sondern Berlin präsentierte sich dabei erstmals einem weltweiten Kunstpublikum als Stadt unent-deckter Potentiale. Die Gründung des Art Forums (1996-2010) und der Berlin Biennale (1998) sind unmittelbar folgende Symptome einer bis heute anhaltenden Diversifikation und Internationalisierung des Berliner Kunstbetriebs.
